VeriTool uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies (like localStorage) to run the service. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. Strictly necessary
- Authentication tokens — to keep you signed in.
- Session storage — to remember UI preferences between pages.
- Security & rate limiting — to protect the service from abuse.
These do not require consent under PECR/UK GDPR.
2. Functional
- veritool-cookie-consent — remembers your choice on the cookie banner.
- Theme / display — stores your preferences for dark mode and similar.
3. Analytics
We currently do not run third-party analytics on the marketing site. If we introduce them in future, we will update this policy and request consent first.
4. Payments
Paddle (our merchant of record) may set cookies on its checkout pages to process your payment securely. See Paddle's cookie policy for details.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in.
